At The Advisory and Resource Center of Omaha, we know that the cost of licensed child care can make it difficult for families to maintain financial stability—especially those who do not qualify for traditional subsidies. Our Child Care Support Services program helps families access quality licensed child care while they work toward long-term self-sufficiency.
How the Program Works
We partner with local licensed child care centers through vendor agreements.
The Advisory and Resource Center of Omaha pays providers directly, easing the financial burden for families.
All partner centers meet Nebraska DHHS licensing standards, ensuring children are cared for in safe, supportive environments.
Who We Serve
Families moving toward self-sufficiency who now have a parent share of child care costs.
Families who have lost Title XX or other subsidies due to increased income.
Families who may have never qualified for subsidies but still need help accessing quality licensed child care.
1. Referral Process
Families may be referred by community partners, schools, social service agencies, or self-refer directly to the program.
Referral sources provide basic information on the family’s child care needs and current circumstances.
Case managers review referrals promptly and contact families to begin the application process.
Referral documentation is maintained to track community connections and ensure timely follow-up.
