Services
Case Management
At The Advisory and Resource Center of Omaha, our case management services are designed to support individuals and families who are working toward self-sufficiency but still face real-life challenges along the way.
We don’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, our approach is personal, flexible, and grounded in trust. Each client is matched with a dedicated case manager who helps assess immediate needs, identify long-term goals, and create a step-by-step plan for stability and growth.
Whether someone needs help navigating community resources, budgeting through a financial rough patch, or accessing services that fall outside traditional systems, we walk alongside them—offering consistent support, advocacy, and accountability.
Case management is always optional and never a requirement to receive assistance from our other departments. We respect each person’s path and offer this service as added support for those who choose to use it.
Our goal is simple: to help people not only move forward but stay on the path toward lasting independence. Learn more about case management services.
Home Maintenance Initiatives
At The Advisory and Resource Center of Omaha, we know that stable housing starts with safe, livable homes. Our Home Maintenance Support services are designed to help promote housing stability for homeowners, tenants receiving housing assistance, and landlords working to maintain their properties.
Whether it’s managing essential repairs, addressing safety or code concerns, or learning basic upkeep skills, we offer guidance, referrals, and hands-on support to keep homes in good condition. We step in before small issues become major disruptions—helping individuals and families stay housed and avoid setbacks that threaten long-term stability.
By supporting the upkeep of homes, we help strengthen neighborhoods, prevent displacement, and protect one of the most important tools for building self-sufficiency: a place to call home. Learn more about home maintenance Initiatives.
Technology & Connectivity Support
In today’s world, access to technology isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline. At The Advisory and Resource Center of Omaha, we provide technology and connectivity support to help individuals stay connected, informed, and moving forward.
From setting up devices and troubleshooting tech issues to offering minor computer and phone repair, we work with clients to overcome digital barriers that can stand in the way of opportunity. Whether it’s applying for jobs, accessing online services, or simply staying in touch with family, we believe everyone deserves reliable access to the tools that keep life moving.
We also provide basic digital literacy support and can connect clients with resources for low-cost internet or affordable devices—because staying connected is essential to building a stable, self-sufficient future. Learn more about technology and connectivity.
Child Care Support Services
At The Advisory and Resource Center of Omaha, we recognize that the cost of licensed child care can prevent many working families from maintaining financial stability—especially those who are considered “self-sufficient” and do not qualify for traditional subsidies.
We provide access to licensed child care services by partnering with local licensed child care centers through vendor agreements, and we help cover the cost by paying the vendors directly. This eases the financial burden for parents, giving them extended time to receive support while working toward long-term stability.
For many families, child care expenses take up a large portion of their income, limiting their ability to meet other essential needs. By covering these costs, we reduce financial pressure and allow parents to stay employed, pursue education, or improve their overall circumstances.
This continued support has a real, lasting impact—helping families grow stronger without sacrificing their children’s care or their own progress.
Because when child care is covered, so much more becomes possible. Learn more about child care support services.
In-Home Healthcare Support Services
Everyone deserves the chance to age in place or live with dignity at home. At The Advisory and Resource Center of Omaha, our In-Home Healthcare Support Services connect older adults, individuals with disabilities, and families caring for elder relatives to trusted providers who deliver reliable, non-medical support. This program is designed for those who need assistance but may not qualify for traditional in-home care programs, helping clients maintain independence, safety, and stability in their own homes.
Through vendor partnerships funded directly by the Advisory and Resource Center’s program resources, as well as Nebraska’s PASS (Personal Assistance Services and Supports) and CHORE Services programs, we link families and individuals to providers who perform everyday tasks such as light housekeeping, personal care, meal preparation, errands, mobility support, and transportation to essential destinations. These services help clients and families remain self-sufficient and safe at home without requiring full-time or intensive care.
Our mission is to enhance quality of life, reduce the risk of unnecessary institutional care, and provide peace of mind to clients and their loved ones.
Because home isn’t just where we live—it’s where stability begins. Learn more about in-home healthcare support services.
